Book Synopsis

The New York Times bestselling Wings of Fire series continues with a thrilling underwater adventure--and a mystery that will change everything!

The lost heir to the SeaWing throne is going home at last.

She can't believe it's finally happening. Tsunami and her fellow dragonets of destiny are journeying under the water to the great SeaWing Kingdom. Stolen as an egg from the royal hatchery, Tsunami is eager to meet her future subjects and reunite with her mother, Queen Coral.

But Tsunami's triumphant return doesn't go quite the way she imagined. Queen Coral welcomes her with open wings, but a mysterious assassin has been killing off the queen's heirs for years, and Tsunami may be the next target. The dragonets came to the SeaWings for protection, but this ocean hides secrets, betrayal -- and perhaps even death.

Prepare to be confused :D ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€” He shall come And ruin the world With his memes and stupidity He wonā€™t be bored Not even the strongest dragons Can compare to his might For he is the weirdest of all And eats pancakes in the night. I have no idea why I made this I just did. :/ Also If you like I dunno hate on this or whatever idc (some people do when I make stuff like this because it doesnā€™t make sense and just ā€œruins their fandomā€ or whatever. But I think itā€™s funny.) -Von DaDerpHerp the 87th

So. This book is really good. I love the maturity shift Tsunami went through while being with her mother. It was so good. And I love Riptide. Heā€™s so adorable. But the main reason Iā€™m here is to continue what I started. WHAT IF? Edit: I added one. So, my what if for this book is: ā€œWhat If Tsunami was the Animus?ā€ I feel that if Tsunami were the Animus, it would definitely change a lot, like for one, if she told her mother about it, she would DEFINITELY be put on a leash and basically kept imprisoned in the Kingdom of the Sea, taking the place of Anemone in the actual series. I also feel the Tsunami would be in lots of danger, for if and when Blister arrived, she would threaten that if Tsunami didnā€™t use her magic for her, she would kill her friends and her family, although you could say that if that happened, Tsunami would use her magic to kill Blister, but she wouldnā€™t be able to do that, one, because that might cause large problems in the war, and two, she wouldnā€™t want to waste her soul. I do feel that if Tsunami were an animus, she would have played a very big role in the first book, with being able to create small enchantments to help escape the Sky Kingdom, overall maybe making the ending a little better. My next one kind of ties into the previous book. What if Tsunami never killed Gill? This would be a game changer!!! For one, Tsunami wouldnā€™t have the gilt of killing her own father, and two, he would still be alive and be King and be able to be rescued. I donā€™t have much else to say about this one. Idk, thatā€™s what I think. But that wraps up my second WHAT IF. I currently have one in the first book and one in the fourth, pls. Tell me what yā€™all think. Thanks - SilverMoonlight256

Ancestors of them are nonexistent all we have is (spoilers for the flames of hope) lizard/freedom and she is not a help. Hereā€™s my take: Seawings to leaf wings and leaf wings to rain wings because seawings can be green and also have scales that react to light and have similar horn shapes to leaf wings,a group could have split off and made leaf wings. Rainwings most likely came from leaf wings because their scales react to light. Icewings could have come from a group of sand wings that got forced into the tundra because they have pale colors and venom would freeze so they lost the tail barb and gotten tail spikes. And there is probably little fresh not frozen water in the ice kingdom so descending from a tribe adapting to that would be useful And mudwings are the least specialized so are probably the first Bye -mamba the rainwing

PROLOGUE Neptune focused herself into a quiet position, and started to flap her wings. She was focusing her gaze on a fat turkey, plump and feathery. She felt her mouth water as she crept up on it. Right before she flew into the air to ambush her prey, she heard a squawk. The turkey jumped and flew off. Neptune felt anger rush through her veins. ā€œNeptune! Come over here!ā€ Shade yapped. ā€œWhatever it is, it must be important! Because it just cost me my dinner!ā€ Neptune spat. ā€œThe eggs!ā€ Shade squeaked. Neptuneā€™s anger quickly ebbed away and she darted over to her sister. She stared down at three shining eggs. They had cracks slowly inching down them. She and her sister watched as the cracks reached the bottom of the egg and broke open. The first egg revealed a tiny bright purple NightWing with a black stripe going down its back and up its long, lean, tail, and it's white dots sparkled on its stomach. The second hatchling had almost black scales and bright beautiful green eyes. The final hatchling had extraordinary purple and black misty scales, and purple eyes. It had a strange white moon on its forehead, and a small tail. Suddenly, a light purple NightWing broke into the nursery. ā€œIā€™ve had a dream! Danger will come, but once the violet gazed moon rises, all will be healed from the treacherous darkness.ā€ Neptune looked back at the elderly light winged she-dragon. ā€œYouā€™re talking nonsense!ā€ She objected and looked back at the third hatchling, her mysterious violet eyes sparkling like a pool of water on a hot day. ā€œThe last hatchlingā€¦ we must protect her!ā€ The pale winged dragon claimed. ā€œI told you already Dusk, itā€™s just a dream!ā€ Neptune protested again. Yet Dusk was the only NightWing in the nursery who understood what power the galaxy-like hatchling held. Flash the hybrid āœØ
