~chapter two~
‘ how was Violet ? ‘ my mother asked cooly. ‘ shes great! Jet, violet and lilac’s father- ‘ ‘ i know who jet is honey, ‘ amber let a gentle chuckle, having me continue. ‘ right, he got assigned to a head guard! - ‘ i was interrupted once more. ‘ wheres the point of that ? ‘ she asked, raising a brow if you let me finish i will tell you, ‘ i let a snort of amusement. ‘ fine, fine continue. ‘ she smiled. ‘ he got elected as HEAD guard in THE queen pearl’s castle! ‘ i burst out, my mothers pupil widened. ‘ three moons! Tell him i congratulate him! Oh! I’ll make him some of my famous muffins, ‘ she winked, walking off, i smiled, it was nice to see my mother happy. I yawned, sliding my tail, i pulled out a book and started to read, i was starting to get sleepy, soon i closed my eyes and drifted into slumber. ‘ firefly- ‘ my mother called, pausing, she smiled to herself, grabbing a sheep fur blanket and pulling it over me, i stirred in my sleep, my mother gave a kiss on my forehead, walking off, i smiled to myself. A few hours later it was morning, i groaned gently as a delicious smell filled my nostrils, i perked up. ‘ wake up dear, its time to visit violet, ‘ she smiled, tapping my shoulder, i raised myself up. ‘ okay! Oh!! Let me put on my gold cuff rings! ‘ i hurried into my room, snapping my gold tail cuff and earring, i rushed outside where my mother was waiting for me. ‘ why are you all dressed up? ‘ she snickered, shoving me gently, i smiled. ‘ cant a dragonet of yours get dressed up in a while? ‘ laughed. ‘ cmon we’ll be late, ‘ she stretched out her majestic wings and took flight, yawned, shaking myself before flying after her, a few minutes later we landed down to the small hut, we knocked and a large, slim black figure peered out. ‘ oh amber! Firefly! What a pleasure!! ‘ he was coated in golden armor and many feathers along it. ‘ i brought some of my muffins as a congrats, my son firefly told you about it, ‘ she ran her talons along my head, i saw violet peaking out, her scales gleamed wonderfully with the silver wire tiara we had picked out, i waved a talon at my friend, she waved back, dragging me in her room. ‘ gah- no need to drag! ‘ i laughed. ‘ sorry! I just missed you, ‘ she smiled. I blinked, slightly taken aback yet i smiled back. ‘ look what i got at the palace!! ‘ she ruffled in her drawers to reveal a marvelous, gold wired tiara with a rainbow of different jewels, there was ruby, topaz, emerald and much others. ‘ oh wow! Where did you get that? ‘ i stared in awe. ‘ Queen Pearl gave it to me as a welcoming gift!! ‘ she cooed. ‘ oooh! ‘ i carefully touched a jewel, pulling back. ‘ that is amazi- ‘ i was cut off. ‘ dinner time! ‘ a warm voice echoed out of the living room, me and violet rushed out, i waved at lilac, she returned the wave as we settled down, ‘ what are we having? ‘ i asked, a wonderful smell filled my nostrils, a large, plump cow leg was placed in front of all of, followed by a mango and banana on the side. I blinked, starting to chew, it was marvelous and quite chewy too. ‘ this cow was caught in Queen Pearl’s own territory, ‘
jet replied with a mouthful of cow. ‘ oh dear your not a dragonet! three moons first chew! ‘ aster laughed gently. ‘ he isnt wrong, this cow is wonderful. ‘ my mother remarked. A few hours passed, we all said our goodbyes and took off, we landed next to our hut and entered in, I brushed myself off, yawning. I got ready for bed and curled up, just then a massive boom filed my eardrums..
