Book Synopsis

The COMPLETE Gone Trilogy - A USA Today bestselling title.

Macy Mercer only wants a little independence. Eager to prove herself grown up, she goes to a dark, secluded park. She's supposed to meet the boy of her dreams who she met online. But the cute fifteen year old was a fantasy, his pictures fake. She finds herself face to face with Chester Woodran, a man capable of murder.

Distraught over his own missing daughter, Chester insists that Macy replace his lost girl. He locks Macy up, withholds food, and roughs her up, demanding that she call him dad. Under duress from his constant threats and mind games, her hold on reality starts to slip. Clinging to her memories is the only way of holding onto her true identity, not believing that she is Chester's daughter. Otherwise she may never see her family again.

This trilogy will take you through all three books to the conclusion.

Other books in the Gone Saga:
Dean's List - Lydia's story about being married to a serial killer.
No Return - Rusty is determined to prove his sister didn't commit suicide without getting himself killed.

Spin-off series: Alex Mercer Thrillers
Girl in Trouble - Ten years after Gone, Alex must face his demons.

  • Ok, but repetitive

I read the trilogy and the book started out fine obviously well enough to keep me reading. However, and places it became so repetitive I started being able to skip entire pages. I read it on an iPad which made it very easy to skin and see the next three pages or all about repeating a family's feelings over and over and over again. This went on throughout the trilogy. Then it took some wild curb just because it seems came to the point where she had nothing further to do with the characters so dump them over here at the school side thing. Every time it seemed she had a chance to get away she really didn't try that hard to take beginning was good the ending was good a lot in the middle was unnecessary. When I recommend this trilogy? Probably not.

First book starts slow and is average, but the plot and character development drastically picks up in the last 2 books. Great read overall.

If you're looking for the best writing, this isn't the series for you. However, once you look past all the typos, the series is very clever and enjoyable. I am not at all a reader, but I couldn't stop reading! I would highly recommend.
