I'm looking forward to reading the fourth and final novel in the series. K.J. Jackson writes interesting stories with unique characters. I was not particularly crazy about either of the main characters in this book but it will not stop me from reading the conclusion.
Loved it!

I revived an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book, it was quite different from the previous two books in the series. I really enjoyed the pirate/privateer aspect to the story, it gave the story a unique twist to the usual regency novels. As another reviewer noted, I had a moments panic when I thought the heroine my speak like a pirate throughout the whole book but nevertheless, it was certainly entertaining when she did.
One of the things I really like is the way the author writes her characters, the female characters in particular. Her female characters have a good balance of strength and vulnerability that I don't often see. They are strong enough to stand up for themselves but also know when to bend that strength towards forgiveness or acceptance.
I also really liked getting to see what the characters from the previous books in the series were up to and I can’t wait to see what KJ Jackson brings us next in this series.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a fun mix of action and romance.
