The action in the first few chapters was great; fast moving and grabbed my attention and kept me on edge. Then the story became bucolic and redundant. I felt no attachment to the main characters nor did I care. I cared so little that I skipped chapters like episodes in a daytime soap opera. Same characters doing, thinking and saying the same things. I had hope the story would pick up but it was way too predictable. Not interesting at all. The few characters that I felt anything for were merely there to support the main character’s ego. The story should have been about them, not the boring Cassandra. I won’t be reading another from this author.

Had me hooked from the beginning. The story unravels with action packed suspense.
