Don't buy. Pop up function doesn't work

I love the book but the flaps don't open

I have tried this book on both an iPad2 and iPad Mini 3, both with the latest iOS, and the book doesn't function properly in either. Neither tapping nor swiping the pictures triggers the pop-up effect it claims to have. The only enhanced feature I see is on the first page Spot's mom's tail is wagging. So how do I get it to work, or how do I get a refund?!?

This is a good book for emergent readers. I got it during special pricing for $1.99. I would not recommend buying it at any higher price though.
