Book Synopsis

Clement Clarke Moore's popular ode to Christmas Eve comes to life through the illustrations of Jon Goodell and the narration of naturalist and television personality Bradley Trevor Greive.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas has never before been presented inside such an interactive production. From a locomotive circling the Christmas tree to the flickering flame of a candle, this distinctive version of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas will not only inspire visions of dancing sugarplums, but the heartfelt hope that St. Nicholas himself will be placing this special gift under the tree.

  • Nice paintings. Broken page-breaks.

Beautiful artwork. Nice little Easter-egg animations & effects. But the book isn’t laid out properly for the app. The spreads break in the wrong spot so you never get a complete painting. You get 2 halves of 2 different spreads. It’s really too bad given the quality of the rest of it.
  • Great fun!

This is a great version of this story to read for the holidays. I really enjoy the timelessness of the illustrations; feels wonderfully traditional. The animations are also a nice touch. We downloaded the book and tried it on our iPhones and iPads running the latest iOS. The pages do not match up, so you read the story on the right page then the illustration for it is on the next left page. This really detracts from the experience. Otherwise a five star book.

I was searching for this book finding weird imagery but then I saw this novel and downloaded the sample. The artwork was fantastic and the animations great, it really brought the story to life and put me right in the Christmas spirit. MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone and if you're looking for a great and immersive read this is the one to get!

So many of the illustrated versions of this classic are drab and unappealing. But this one is beautiful - with rich, vibrant colors and fun animation. My five-year-old loves it, and I plan to make reading this part of our annual Christmas Eve tradition. Maybe bit pricey when compared to others, but totally worth it!

I have looked for about 25 yrs for a TTNBC book that had the same art in it as the one my family had when I was little (or as close as I could get, not remembering who the illustrator was of that book.) This book not only is almost identical in illustrations, but through technology made it all come alive! My family couldn't stop looking at it all on our big screen TV as I read the story. We giggled and laugh and got caught up in the story like we've never done. AWESOME iBook! Cannot say enough good things about it!

The interactive things in the book are a little laggy but it's tolerable.
