The No 1 Lady Detective Series are my favorite books. They are masterfully written and interwoven with humor and gems of moral codes we should all live with. Start reading the series chronologically. I am now going back to re read the series! The Limpopo Academy is the best of the series. Thank you Mr. Smith, your books make my heart sing!

The story captures the charm & very real beloved characters I have followed in all the books. Our friends in Africa weaving right into the wrong doers of everyday life. Sad the ending is missing a page...

Such a great series. I love the characters and this author's writing. But as others have pointed out, the book is messed up. Missing the last page of more than one chapter. Please fix and send out an update!

I've read them all and couldn't wait to read this one, even though it's expensive for an ebook. Imagine my disappointment (and yours if you buy it) when I discover it's full of errors. Sentences that aren't finished, and 3 complete pages repeated at the end of a chapter! I have never read such a poorly edited ebook. I'm sure the author is embarrassed, who would want to have their work presented so poorly? The publisher and/or Apple should be ashamed. Wait for the corrected edition.

My (late) wife and I have read together most of Alexander McCall Smith books. They are a genre of their very own, picturing a real world of very caring (often) and sometimes not people. I know of no other author today writing in this genre. It is a relaxing pleasure to read them. AMS is very careful to wrap up all the threads at the end of a well crafted mystery novel?

Just confirming another's comments. End of chapter three dangles mid sentence, mid word. Someone needs to fix the book and re-deliver, this takes away for the great characters and writer.

Once again, Alexander McCall Smith brings to life the country of Botswana and the characters of the First Ladies Detective Agency, allowing the reader to loose themselves in the complexities and the simplicities of human nature. The country and the characters in the artful hands of Smith's lyrical narrative have to struggle to stay on the page. With the introduction of the Agency's mentor Clovis Andersen we have an affable, able partner who strengthens Mma Ramostswe's understanding of the finer points of detection and illuminates the power of intuition against the undercurrents of the culture. Another treasure of a volume!

I wish I hadn't bought the iPad 2 version. So many repeated pages, paragraphs!!! First book I've downloaded with such glitches. Love the series, beyond disappointed. Will buy from book store.
