Canyons of Night

I loved this book. Can not wait for the next book to come out.

I have read all of Jayne Ann Krentz book's including her historical ones as Quick and futuristic books as Castle. This book was such a let down. Not because the characters were bad (I loved Slade, Charlotte, Devin and the rest of Rainbow Island's citizens). The problem is there was no resolution to the trilogy. The looking glass was barely mentioned. Non of the constant questions about the preserve are answered. The ending seemed rushed and really anticlimactic. When it was over my first thought was this is a filler story, so you have to buy another 7.99 ebook! I love this author but if these stories don't start becoming important in and of themselves I may have to leave her off my must read list. For the price I just expect more. I also have some thoughts on Jayne's paranormal angle. First let me say I enjoy the fantasy in these stories. However, I'm tired of the same conflicts and resolutions. All the male characters seem to have the same type of problem: their talent isn't working right and they think they are going crazy/rouge/parablind (sometimes all 3). The female lead helps them figure out that they are ok or how to fix themselves. You dont need to read the book to know how it will turn out. I am at the point that I need something different if I'm going to stick with Arcane! Finally a side note. If Jayne is going to continue the trilogies through each era, can't the publisher print them in order from historical to future? The suspense would be so much better!!!!
