Book Synopsis

The Wheel of Time is now an original series on Prime Video, starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

In Lord of Chaos, the sixth novel in Robert Jordan’s #1 New York Times bestselling epic fantasy series, The Wheel of Time®, Rand al’Thor, the Dragon Reborn, builds his army of Light even as sworn enemies--and supposed allies--move against him.

Now ruling Tear, Andor, and Caemlyn, among other nations, Rand is recruiting all men capable of channeling to be trained as his Asha'man soldiers. The warrior Aiel clans have pledged loyalty to Rand, acknowledging him as their chief of chiefs, even though the Shaido Aiel remain a threat.

Split into two factions, the Aes Sedai of the White Tower and their rebel counterparts both seek to ally themselves with the Dragon Reborn. Rand knows all too well the manipulative nature of the Aes Sedai, no matter which side of their internal war they stand upon. But even he cannot predict just how desperate, cruel, and treacherous they can be.

And in the shadows, the Forsaken and the Dark One are conjuring even more chaos...

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters. The last six books in series were all instant #1 New York Times bestsellers, and The Eye of the World was named one of America's best-loved novels by PBS's The Great American Read.

Mr. Jordan took us on another roller coaster ride that brought excitement in one moment, and despair in the next, in a world where intrigues, magic, violence, valor and friendship created a fascinating story. Unto the next one!
  • Amazing series!

I have read this series before this is my second time through. There are time when the entire series slows but it’s in those detail oriented sections that you see how truly entwined all these characters are and it’s during those time that’s you read details you didn’t think were important until two books later. This is my all time favorite series and I have started reading it to my son.
  • Good book although gets bogged down at times

I am reading the series now, and I would agree with other reviewers that sometimes the story gets bogged down in detail that seems to me to not be that important. That is not to say that I haven't enjoyed the series, after all I have read six books.
  • Slow yet good

Normally it's slow and it gets really good at the end, this one was pretty slow the whole time but still good some how
  • Awesome!

Probably the best of the first ten in the series. Incredible depth of characters and elaborate thought processes without taking away from things like dialogue and environmental detail. Well done

Amazing and the battle at the end is the best so far and will be second only to tarmon gaidon
  • Great story - poor editing

Six books into the story I think I know things such as Min has visions or that warders wear color-shifting cloaks. Each book is written as if it were the only one. The editing is also quite poor; too many punctuation and spelling errors. All that aside, I'm enjoying the series and anxious to see where it goes next.

Love the books of course but the image of the map in zoom view is blurry, unlike the 5 previous books. Please update.
