    A brilliant account of how genetics compliments the study of human evolution. It's the kind of book that you want to read again and again to make sure you capture all the elements that Wade recounts so clearly. A really useful research tool if studying this complicated field. More please, Mr Wade.

    This book is a fascinating account of how modern advances in genetics is allowing us to learn things about our ancient past. From the first humans leaving Africa and spreading around the globe, to language and evolution, the book is filled with amazing leaps in knowledge based on recent DNA studies.

    I read the hard copy version a couple of years ago. The author combined recent genetic studies with the existing linguistic and archeological evidence of human migrations. Fascinating.
