    A duel, with swords, Mina takes her brother’s place to fight the Earl of Creswick. After all, she is the better swordsman. Simon finds it difficult to believe Crawford has bested him, more difficult when he finds it is Mina, not her brother. Impressed with her skill and intelligence, Simon offers her the job as his secretary. Mina is curious, resourceful, and financially desperate, so she accepts with conditions. She drives a hard bargain. She admires his reform stance and they work together well. As they work closely together, they begin to fall in love. Mina knows it can’t work out between them. She has a secret that makes it impossible. When Simons learns the secret, he takes the situation in hand with his usually fervor. Will he be able to find the truth and the means to correct Mina’s “mistake”? What a good story. An intelligent and caring hero and heroine who work together quite well, and whose chemistry sizzles. There is some tension, secrets, a bit of a mystery, humor, and steamy romance. I enjoyed this one, and wonder who will be tempted next. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.

    5 Stars! Stacy Reid absolutely killed it with this book! This is the first book in a new series, ‘A Matter of Temptation’, and can be read as a standalone. Simon and Mina, the main characters, are so cute together. Simon seems cold at first but Mina seemed to warm him up. I’d highly suggest this book. I read it in only 2 days & was not disappointed. Scandals, sexy ‘sexy times’, HEA ending, sexily arrogant and powerful man and a sweetly sarcastic woman. What’s not to love?! I don’t hand out 5 stars easily, so trust me on this one. Enjoy! (Also - you’re welcome!) *I received this at no charge & I voluntarily left this review.*
