Book Synopsis

Welcome to California’s ranch country, where the cowboys of New York Times bestselling author Kate Pearce’s sexy and heartwarming series live, learn, and find love . . .

Ranching will always run in Evan Miller’s blood, but as the fifth son, he also wants to prove to his skeptical family that he can forge his own path. Drawn to the world of rodeo, Evan encounters Josie Martinez, half-sister of world champion bull rider Rio Martinez. He hopes Josie might show him the ropes—among other things—but Josie has priorities of her own . . .

Josie’s not sure what she’s doing at her brother’s ranch when she should be at her office in San Francisco, fulfilling her dream of becoming young entrepreneur of the year. Ever since violence unexpectedly entered her life and her home, she’s struggled to get her life back on track. The ranch offers a sanctuary—with one gorgeous exception: Evan. But is he just a distraction, or can their growing bond—and undeniable attraction—persuade Josie that her heart is big enough for work and love . . .

Loved this book. The characters were rich and full and so well-developed, you feel like they are your friends. So, when they say or do stupid things, it’s hard not to roll your eyes and want to slap them upside the head to send them on the right path. At first, Evan and Josie seem like such mis-matched people, you wonder how they can get together, let alone move to more. And yet, al always, Ms Pearce works her magic, and a friendship develops that blossoms into a real romance that becomes full-on love. I really enjoyed how we’re treated to each character working through their “bucket list” with the other, and how each works to accommodate the wants and needs of the other as they do. It didn’t feel silly or trite, as it could have, but genuine and respectful. So wonderful. I also really liked the way both Evan and Josie were dealing with major life issues that were revealed little by little to the reader. We got bits and pieces, leaving us guessing and wanting more of the impact and significance of what happened. This is such a good book, don’t miss it. I received a complimentary copy of this book. This is my freely given, honest review.

Well the last Miller turn has come to find love. Evan is the baby boy of the six kids. A little bit of a big mouth, can’t keep a secret and still avoiding Danny his closest brother. He is riding off to the Martinez Ranch to check on Ines, which he doesn’t mind since they raise bulls for the PBR. As he gets there he is admiring the rider on the bucking bulls and is surprised to see it’s a women. Josie is the sister to the famous retired bull rider, Rio Martinez. Bull riding seems to be in their blood, but in real life she was a business exc. in her brother’s multi million company. Taking a break from work and to get herself together after a frightening experience, she is hiding out at the ranch. Meeting Evan, they decided to work on a bucket list. The story is of personal growth, overcoming fears. All the characters are back, so you really should read the previous books. Laugh out loud in parts, and really don’t want the series to end. I truly enjoyed reading the life of the Miller’s. Each child had different stories and this tied it all together. I hope that there will be one more story…..there is a half sister that is unwed. Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story. #NetGalley #RomancingtheRancher #KatePearce
