    I have to say I really struggled with this book. Im going to give it a 3.5 out of 5 because I found it hard to connect with the Hero of the book. I feel like there were moments where I liked Domino and Nicola's relationship but there were other moments that really had me struggling to connect with the relationship. Domino is very much a alpha male protector but that line between being an alpha protector and being a controlling jerk was straddled a lot. Sometimes he fell on the protective alpha side and then other times he fell on the jerk side of the like. Nicola was a great heroine because I really loved her vulnerability and her character growth over the course of the book. She really learned to come into her own and be her own savior in life. This book throws a lot of twists and turns at the couple and they dont always handle them well but I would say if you read the first two books in the series this one is definitely worth the read. this story is very much about two people trying to navigate a variety of topics like love/lust, crime, betrayal,etc.. and i feel overall its a good story I just had a hard time connecting with the hero at times and had a hard time with some of the plot points but overall I would say worth the read but you should read the two other books in the series first to have a better understanding of what is going on.

    His Jailbird by K. L. Donn ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🔥🔥🔥🔥 His Jailbird is Nicola and Domino story. Nicola has a tragic past but when she meets Domino she feels a instant connection. Domino has never felt anything like what he feels for Nicola. The more he learns about her the more protected he is. And they as go through more twisted and turns together the more they fall in love with each other. It’s incredible journey for both them. And then they get a perfect ending❤️. K. L. Donn give us some strong characters in His Jailbird. I love the storyline and how she shows us Nicola past. We also gets so very steamy scenes. I would definitely recommend this book.

    This was a bit different than I was expecting. When we first met Domino, I didn’t realize how “forceful” he was. Domino takes charge of Nicola right away. These are two strong people who fight each other for dominance. Lots of drama and steam. I hope Domino’s brothers get stories!
