Book Synopsis

‘Breathtaking in its scope with, and with some pretty amazing photography.’ Richard Ellis-Smith
‘Seeing the world in one year makes for an exhilarating experience. I loved this blockbuster of a book.’ Yuki Kamura.
‘Is the world that different now? Not really but then did we really expect that?’ Timo George.
Emile Zola said that ‘nothing develops intelligence like travel’ and Mark Twain, ‘one must travel to learn.’ Both go too far as it is easy to travel and see and learn nothing other than the superficial. But I do subscribe to ‘the traveler sees what he sees, the tourists sees what he has come to see,’ said by G.K. Chesterton. I am not a fan of ticking off famous tourist sights, though there are places that definitely must see of course, but instead I prefer to wander the streets, mingle with people, slip into shops, eat something from a street stall.
‘Not all those who wander are lost,’ said Tolkien.
I hope that this is true.
