Book Synopsis

Electrifying, dark, and delicious! I devoured every tantalizing word..." Renee Rose, USA Today Bestselling author

Lips brushing my ear, Caspian offers me a fair exchange.

My life in exchange for the freedom of my wards.

Infamous for his cruelty, renowned for his wealth, the most powerful man in the city meets my desperate gaze and smirks.

Aggressive in his appetites, vicious in his demands, Caspian will brook no refusal. So long as I am his, he will enact no restraint, bear no qualms, dress me as he wishes, shower me with riches, and teach me the secrets of pleasure in the dark.

I never should have trusted such a man.

  • Blurb is completely wrong and misleading

The version of this story that I read was called "Branded" (Listed on Amazon that way as well) and it said nothing in the blurb about being a reverse harem or anything close to that. The blurb that I read had Caspian and Wren as the love interests and said nothing about him sharing her or being with other women (or men). I don't read reverse harem books. From what I have heard about reverse harem books, they are usually 3 (or more) males that are dedicated to one female which I wouldn't think this book would qualify. The males share Wren (even though she would prefer they not but never gets asked for her opinion) but they also have a "pen" of other females they use whenever the mood strikes them. They are violent toward her and with her without any real care as to her well-being as long as they get what they want. Wren is lied to, manipulated, nearly choked to death, etc. all while they use her genetic disposition against her to get what they want and to make decisions for her about what they have decided that she wants. I was very disappointed in this book. It is my second book by this author. While I enjoyed the first one (Thirst) even though it was pretty out there, this one just made me sick to my stomach and mad. I can't say that I would recommend this book as I don't consider this to be a romance novel since there isn't anything romantic about it. Maybe it should be categorized as erotica or something else instead so that people that are looking for romance wouldn't be shocked. I also believe that the blurb on Amazon and Bookbub (as well as anywhere else that it's listed as a Romance between 2 characters) should be updated to show that this is not just between Caspian and Wren
