He went to the USA to study, at a time when there were hardly any Indian students and missed the Indian food. Struggling for the basic of vegetarian food, he started a small grocery store along with his job. This small store is today a chain of departmental stores that Asians and others throng through to get a taste of India in the USA. He and his brothers are loved by many to giving them the taste of home.
