    Charmaine Paul’s books are always a hit with me. I absolutely love her writing and her unique story teller ways. This was no different. From character development, plot, and dark romance, she delivered a compelling beautiful story that was a page turner.

    I received an ARC for a honest review. This is a darker romance than the other books I've read by this author and just as good. It starts off as a revenge story for the hero since he was sent to prison by then heroine's father. At first the heroine seemed so lost in the world and in her own mind. It was dark and suspenseful on that there are a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes. No one seems to be in control.....neither the H or the h. Over time Damien realizes the revenge is taking a backseat to his feelings for the Lina. And Lina slowly finds her footing in her life with Damien. In fact she becomes stronger in mind and body.......because in the beginning she was so fragile, it was almost too hard to read about her. The heat factor is off the charts for these 2, but remember this is a dark romance.

    Holy mackerel this is one dark story. Damian is a complete jerk at times but one one hand you can understand why and then on the other hand you just want to knock him upside his head. Lina is a sweet young lady that boy do we see growing throughout the story. It is a gripping story that has you wishing you could stop reading but it is so intriguing that you can’t put it down. The characters are well developed and the writing is fantastic. It has a superb storyline that can feel so realistic to the end. It is definitely worth reading and doesn’t disappoint.

    Honestly I’m not sure where to start?? This book was total fabulousness and I can’t say enough about it. You have Damien who was sent to prison by the dirty, of dirties type of man. Damien is out for revenge and he is going to get what he wants, and that is Lina the daughter of the man he is out to destroy. Lina is worth billions, but due to her instability her husband will have control of her money. So you see Damien forces Lina to marry him, he gets her and her money. I don’t think he realized he would fall in love with her. This is a dark story and at times Lina’s treatment by Damien and her past treatment by others is rather rough. I will tell you I couldn’t put this book down. It’s fast paced and fabulously constructed. Loved it!!

    I received the book as an ARC, like Previous books the writing was superb. The story get you involved all the time, the characters are well developed and at the end everyone in the story gets what they deserved: love, vengeance, redemption and forgiveness.

    Beauty in the Broken by Charmaine Pauls was a darker romance that was emotional and full of twists. Damian Hart served six years in jail after being framed for a crime he did not commit. Those six years allowed him to plan his revenge. He holds one man and his daughter responsible. They will pay. He was a strong and determined man with one mission driving his every action. Angelina Dalton-Clarke broke my heart. She has suffered so much at the hands of others. Now she will suffer at Damien’s hand. Though at times she seemed a blt lost, she was also strong in her own way. But Damian also desired her. Wanted to own her in every way. Their chemistry was insane. Though he wanted to punish he took care of her as well. Their journey captivated me from the start. There was danger, lust and a whole lot of steaminess in this story!

    OMG !!! This book blew me away with its darkness. I totally loved Lina and Damian’s story. Danger, death, secrets, lies, dark steamy moments, sexual control over ones desire, chemistry off the charts. I was totally captivated throughout the entire book and was held hostage , riveted to every single word of this stunning read. It truly feed my need for a dark romance as does all Charmaine Paul’s books. Once again she does not disappoint. I absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for an amazing dark romance read. Absolutely Stunning

    I was broken by this book, but in the most beautiful way. Charmaine Pauls ripped my heart out of my chest, broke it many times, then finally put it back in my chest at the end. I was immediately captivated with this world at the beginning of the book and with Damian and Lina as characters, and it didn’t let me go until the end. Lina went through so much that it broke my heart, but the journey to who she is at the end was well deserved. Damian deserves to get his revenge for what was done to him, and the last six years have broken him as well. Damian is obsessed with Lina and would do anything for her which I appreciated, but some of the times he punished her were brutal to read. That is why I gave the book 4 stars - some of Damian’s punishments were hard and uncomfortable for me to read. He does redeem himself in the end! Damian and Lina’s love story is as broken and beautiful as I have ever read. If you want a book that transports you to another world with a story and characters that don’t let you go until you get to the end, then read this book!

    I felt such hate and love while reading this. Our heroine is tragic by epic proportions. She hasn’t had a break like ever. I loved her will to fight and to stand all that was thrown at her. The hero I really HATED him and did through most of this book. He’s a REAL anti-hero and a sadist. I am a fan of this author. She can really weave a story. I’m glad it came my way. I didn’t know if this was going to be good. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I highly recommend this book.

    It’s taken me 2 days to get my head on straight after reading this story. Dark romance is my jam and Damian and Lina’s characters could not have been written more beautifully. You’ll either be sympathetic towards these characters or just simply inspired by their strength. Damian and Lina both fall victim to Lina’s step-father. But where Damian is hardened by his imprisonment, Lina is fearful of secrets that may be unveiled. My poor, poor Lina was subjected to such a horrible life. Nothing more vile than being tricked into a sham of a marriage with a sadistic husband that starves and imprisons you. Not only scared for life, Lina must endure the pain of another sadistic husband when she is forced to marry the only man she has ever shown compassion towards.
