This was the worst book. Book 1 was great! Shane was perfect, and she loved him. But now Sophie has to go end it for someone else.
  • Book 2 completely erases everything about book 1

At the end of book 1 there is hope for a couple by the famous matchmaker who never gets it wrong. The whole book was leading to that. Book 2 completely erases that and makes book 1 not even necessary and debunks all myths about love book 1 set out to ring true. I also believed that her relationship in book 1 was more believable. Perhaps if the author had ended Keira’s relationship with Shane differently, it might have made for a better romance story in Italy. Overall, disappointed with this book and as I will continue to read the series, I don’t think they will captivate me as much as the love story between Keira and Shane
  • Horrible

So unrealistic, horribly edited. And unbelievable. I groaned during the first book because of its preposterous plot (and again, horrible editing - her “time” was all off) but thought I’d try this second one since I am a masochistic optimist. And, I liked Shane even though he talked like an American with the same slang - despite being in a remote part of Ireland and growing up on an Irish sheep farm. The author throws out the words love and soulmates like Baskin Robbins flavor the month. I understand that there is more than one love in a lifetime. But Love isn’t a 30 day wash and rinse cycle. I was shocked and dumbfounded with what she did with the plot line. She totally invalidated the first book and as a reader, I don’t like being told my last commitment of time to her was a waste. Readers give their authors trust that they won’t force or manipulate stories. A good author would have told Keira’s stories with compassion and humanity. We would have felt a slow realization about the complications and subtleties of love. I don’t care that she wound up with Cristiano (I can’t even say that name in my head without thinking “who names their character that?” That in itself was a contrivance), I just wanted it to be understandable as to why.
