Book Synopsis

Michael Vey is missing and it’s up to the Electroclan to find him in this shocking seventh installment of the New York Times bestselling series!

The Electroclan is facing a devastating loss: Michael is missing. He made the ultimate sacrifice to save his friends and now he’s gone. What is next for them and the resistance?

The battle on the island of Hades ended with a devastating explosion that left the island a smoking ruin and much of Hatch’s Elgen army dead. However, Hatch survived and while his plans have certainly suffered a setback, he’s more determined than ever to bring the world’s governments under his control. But first, he wants to wipe out those who stand against him and capture the remaining members of the Electroclan.

As Hatch’s forces storm into action, it seems nothing can stand in their way. The Electroclan is divided. The voice is captured, and Michael’s mother is being used as bait to lure the leader of the Resistance out of hiding. Can anything—or anyone—stop the Elgen? Or is this the end?

I loved this book. This was the perfect book coming off of a cliffhanger book 6. Great ending to the series!
  • Satisfying ending but could have been done better

Overall, it’s a good book. The ending I wanted. However, I really didn’t like this book as much as the others. I did like the darker mood and tone. But this was a pretty boring read. Almost no action and there was no explosive climax. And Michael (while being EXTREMELY powerful which was AWESOME) was only in about nineteen pages total. So I did like the book but it really could have been written better. So many characters were underused or not even present in the story.

As a fan of the Michael Vey series, I was surprised at how this is one of the worst books I have ever read. Almost all of it is pointless filler, and the rest of it is usually forced to move the plot along. Michael comes back after exploding in the sixth book. Apparently, he’s able to materialize into pure energy and back, and he also can control thunderstorms. That’s one of the worst examples of Deux Ex Machina I have ever seen.
  • I LOVE MICHAEL VEY!!!!

I never reviewed the previous books, but that’s because I was too busy reading the next one, and the next, and the next. I LOVE MICHAEL VEY!!!! I definitely wouldn’t listen to the critics if I were you. The series deserves nothing below a 500/10. So, I repeat, I LOVE MICHAEL VEY!!!!
