Book Synopsis

Chocolate expert Chantelle Cummings arrives in Marietta, Montana with two goals—sign copies of her new book and research a quaint local chocolate shop. When she meets a gorgeous guy passing out chocolate samples, her visit turns sweeter than she ever imagined. The man melts her heart, but her dream of working in France with her family makes her hesitant to pursue a romance.

Former Air Force captain York Parker has one month before embarking upon a consulting career. He never expected to be selling chocolates, but he’s happy to help his sister and her boss. He also likes spending time with sassy, pretty Chantelle. His new coworker may have the chocolate touch, but he’d rather taste her decadent kisses… until he learns the real reason she’s in town.

Will the truth harden his heart, or will love pave the way to a sweet future?

Chantelle and York had me laughing. I enjoyed her love of chocolate and how things naturally progressed between the two.. The end with Charolette's family background being revealed was quite interesting and was wondering for a bit how it all would be pulled together. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Yet another great addition to the Love at the Chocolate Shop series. Chantelle is in town for a book signing, and to do some research on Sage's chocolate shop for her uncle, a well-known chocolatier in France. York is in town to spend time with his sisters after leaving the Air Force and before starting his next career. They end up in close proximity due to York filling in at the chocolate shop for a vacationing employee, and then when Portia ends up in the hospital, Chantelle fills in as well. I love all of the characters. Everyone was so likable. I really wish Marietta was a real town I could visit. I would be a regular at the chocolate shop for sure.

Another delicious read form Love at the Chocolate Shop series. Chantelle has arrived in Marietta for signing of her book and get the inside scoop of the Chocolate Shop, not expecting to fall in love with York. York is home for one month before starting his job, and helping out at the Chocolate Shop during this time. Their is a mutual attraction between the two, but the one secret that Chantelle is keeping from everyone might destroy everything. I loved how their relationship built but both afraid to move forward with their relationship, neither one here permanently. Great to catch up with the other Chocolateers!! Loved the gratitude quest! My favorite line, "She did have the chocolate touch. Chocolate had brought her everything she dreamed about and a little extra too".

The Chocolate Touch by Melissa McClone, book eight in the Love at the Chocolate Shop series is another winner. This is Ms. McClone’s third book in the series and features York Parker the older brother of Dakota and Nevada, the heroines of her two previous books. York is spending time in Marietta visiting his sisters after leaving the Air Force and before he begins a job that will have him travelling the world. Dakota puts York to work covering for Rosie at Sage’s chocolate shop. Blogger Chantelle Cummings is in Marietta to promote her book and research Copper Mountain Chocolates. Once she is done she will move to France to work for the family’s chocolate company. Neither one is looking for a long term relationship but like the taste of chocolate, one never knows what life will bring your way. I really enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. I often get drawn into the books written by Ms. McClone as she is a wonderful story teller. I highly recommend this book to other readers and I for one look forward to the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
