Spoiler alert ———————————— The last 20 something pages were the hardest 20 something pages to read in my entire life. I really wished some miracle would happen, that Frank and Nella can both be saved and be together till the end. How is this fair to Nella? :( I cried my eyes out for an hour while reading the last pages, pausing every few words to wipe my tears or blow my nose. I even put the book (phone) down for awhile because another word wouldn’t even come out of my mouth. They were my favorite characters and I’ll never forget about them. I didn’t loose someone like Nella but I can feel Frank’s pain and his own emotions as my own emotions. How could he have been so sure that Grey was dead and let his guard down? :( how can he live with what happened to Nella? :( I would’ve laid in the bed with her in the end. I would not have been able to leave her side. :( I would’ve wanted the last thing I see to be her face, right next to mine. :(

I was hooked on the adventure and thrills of what the colony and others were encountering and defeating. However, this book is not 5 stars on account of the drawn out, multiple pages of romantic, back and forth with nella and frank. It was so good then, mood killer. Romance and relationships are good and important to a story line but I felt it got a little excessive and found myself skimming thru pages just to get back to the story line.

I enjoyed this series , each book was a story unto it self, the characters were fully developed into persons of interest, even the minor ones kept the story going smoothly. I felt connected to the story and could feel myself feeling as they felt with each page. I could not stop thinking, what if this really could happen, and it really already has to a much smaller area in Africa last year. Sadly the virus is still not contained because of the beliefs of the tribe and their burial beliefs,”washing, wrapping and sitting with the dead for three days , which spreads the disease . As you can tell I love to read but I am not a writer by any means. Cannot wait until your next book or and extension of these. Like after the people are cured and how they work together to survive and meet other survivors. Thank you for many nights of enjoyment. Susan A
