Dirty Little Rendezvous (A Burke Brothers Spin-Off)

Dirty Little Rendezvous by Emma Hart is the spin-off story to the Burke Brothers series and is their sister Leila's story. We have known that Leila went backpacking through Europe a while back and had some hot encounters with the occasional random hot male. What we, nor she, expects is to ever see one of them again. When Jase turns out to be the person that is supporting their brothers on the European leg of their tour things get complicated, emotional, and ultimately fabulous. Leila keeps things close, lets no guy in, especially when they're usually after her for her connection to the Dirty B's. Jase is already in with them so when he spends his time with her she knows the only ulterior motive is one they both want, schmexy time whenever and wherever they can get it. Well-paced with wonderfully developed characters (seeing the brothers and their partners again was awesome) this story is heartwarming. Jase is such a caring character and leila has her issues, but is strong enough to own them. I loved it!

Absolutely fell in love with Leila and Jase! Leila has always been a spit fire in all of the previous books and I was glad to finally get to read her story. I loved that this story was low angst, it was the perfect love story. Loved the fact that the whole Dirty B gang was included on this wild ride! The only bad thing is that it's over, wahhh!

Mix all of that and more in and you can say hi my name is Leila Burke. Leila lost her job and also decided she had had enough of her boyfriend and told him to move on. He was the most recent in a string of users who wanted access to her brothers that being with her brought. Leila decides to escape with her brothers to some international shows and take the time to think about her life and live a little. The problem with her plan is that her brothers are overly protective and act like like multiple overbearing fathers. They have a huge list of rules for her to follow while she goes on tour with them. Did I mention she is in her twenties and not a fan of their controlling ways. If that isn't enough to cramp your style imagine also running into someone tied to your past. This wonderful book by one of my go to authors put a smile on my face ans had me chuckling. Can Leila take this time, while under four brother's thumbs, be honest with and find herself? She really is funny and gets herself into predicaments. She sneaks around like she is a teen in search of her way. The emotion and romance in this book is palpable!

*Fans Face* Oh wow! As someone who has read Emma Hart’s entire backlist, let me say, DLR is Ms. Hart’s hottest book yet! We meet Jase Masters, and get to know Leila Burke much better. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn’t this story- and I mean that in SUCH a good way!! Joining her brothers on a short European tour with their band Dirty B, Leila is reintroduced to Jase, who she had met the year before on her own European trip. With her brothers setting down ground rules as a condition of her tagging along, it becomes a story of first real love, and forbidden love all in one. Per usual, Ms. Hart knocks it out of the park. I’d even go as far as saying DLR is her best work yet. Jase and Leila burn up the pages and Emma Hart has created a beautiful, fun, sexy story for them. She makes you feel their emotions and want to head to Paris and London to tag along on a Jase and Leila outing. DLR can be read as a standalone, but I feel it is best enjoyed after reading the Burke Brothers series to fully understand the entire cast. *I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*

So this was my first ever Emma Hart book and I was definitely blown away. It look me a few chapters to get the meanings of all the British words used but it definitely didn't deter from the story. I probably should've read the books on the Burke brothers first, but the story gave a little information on their past so I wasn't completely lost. I will definitely be going back to read the brothers' stories though. Anyways, Jase and Leila were just perfect together. Leila cracked me up the entire book and Jase just made me swoon every time he spoke. Leila just can't seem to find the right guy who gives her the emotional connection as well as the physical and has all about just given up. But low and behold, the one person who can give her both of the connections and everything in between is the guy she never thought she'd see again and he's a big up and coming rock star. I just wanted to smack Leila a few times for not seeing what was right in front of her and not listening to her heart. Their love story may not have been conventional but it was absolutely perfect.
