I remember reading this one adult romance book I got from somewhere where you trade a toy for a book… I was about 12. In pieces, there’s a cowboy that stumbles on his late biological father’s house. He was greeted by a beautiful long black haired heroine and an arrogant greasy antagonist that threatens the protagonist’s life, the rights of the land, and the woman’s heart - or something of the sort. I’ve never would’ve guessed that the same type of heartthrob thrill would have me remember the feeling I get from reading.

Wow how captivating! Such a good read I didn’t want to put it down! Finished in less than 24 hours! Can’t wait to start the second book in the morning!

I thoroughly loved all the characters! Even the background characters stood out. This book made me ache for my lost soulmate. This book made me feel pain for the characters. Made me feel happy for them and sad. Well thought out and I can’t wait to read the next book. I loved how it went back and forth between the present and past. Between Houston and Rory. I like how she has ambitions, but also shows that she is like every one else. A hopeless romantic. I hated that Houston cheated on his wife, but this was very realistic.

I binge read this first book in four hours. Maybe slow or fast but either was it was so intriguing that I couldn’t set it down.

Hard for me to get why Rory would even be thinking of this guy after he left her after a such a devastating event in her life. Then he goes off and gets married an realizes he is not happy with his wife. Hopefully the story gets better

This story touched me in so many ways and just crushed me! I loved it but it tore me apart on so many levels!!! It will make you frustrated, angry, happy, you will laugh, you will cry but you will feel everything! This book is real, real life with all the ugly and I related in ways I have never related to a story before! Some will hate this book. Some will love it. I am on the love side and cannot wait to pick up The Way We Break!!! Listening to this story adds a new level of amazing to an already great story! I also love audiobooks where there is both a male and female narrator!
