Something I've noticed in most of Abbi Glines' books: 1. Damsel in distress comes to town 2. Damsel meets rich (and sometimes overly possessive) man 3. Lots of sex ensues 4. Fighting, boo hoo 5. Whoops! Damsel gets pregnant. 6. Wedding bells and happily ever after. Don't get me wrong, yes the stories are good. But when it's basically the same plot point over and over for 15 books... not so much.

I loved the book however I wish the ending had more. I think it would have been even better to have Aida put in her place.
  • Love it

Having read all of the Rosemary Beach Series I can honestly say they are fabulous. You will not be disappointed and I LOVED Mase and Reese. They are both down to earth and real. Everyone deserves a happily ever after and I am so glad they both got theirs.

I hate Abbi...I lost sleep again, I couldn't put it down. The story is so gripping that you relate to the characters and the trials they face and the love that endures all. I seriously want to punch Aida smack in the face, I had my own Aida once. And I was worried that Reese might fall for Captain, and I hope he gets his own love story soon

Omg I couldn't put this book down. To have this kind of love between Mase and Reese it's a beautiful love to withstand the test of time. A must read
  • Abbi Glines delivers a sexy and genuinely heartfelt ending to Reese and Mase’s story.

Since I read the last page of When I’m Gone, I was waiting for this book to show up on my iPad. After investing in the lovable Reese and swoon-worthy Mase, I needed to know what happens to these two. Don’t worry, I will not spoil anything for those who have not read the previous book, but lets just say that Abbi left us all hanging by a thread at the end. I will forgive her though, because she gave us all When You’re Back. As this book opens, we pick up a little while after the knock on the door that changed so much for Reese. Both Mase and Reese are together and in Texas, though they both travel a bit as they visit their families across the country. Their relationship is strong and the two obviously love each other. However, Reese no matter how much she knows that Mase loves her, always seems to doubt what they have. It is almost as if she is waiting for the other shoe to drop. When Aida and Captain come into the lovebirds’ lives, things start to get a bit complicated. Aida wants Mase and has no problems showing attitude to Reese. Though Mase is not having it, there is a family bond between the two that is hard to break. As for Captain, he shows up and immediately is drawn to Reese. Mase doesn’t trust or like him, but Reese starts to see a different side (and the reader will as well). Both of these outside players start to put seeds of doubt into the young couple’s mind. Will Reese and Mase make it over the hurdle? Will Reese’s past truly stay in the past for her to see a future with Mase? These are all the questions I had while reading this story and I don’t doubt you will too. In this installment of the Rosemary Beach series, Abbi Glines explores more personal and deeper relationships with the featured characters as well as some of the other players from previous books. The emotion in this book, in my opinion, is much more front and center. By exploring this, the author really gives a more well rounded story to the series as well as the book. I truly believe that Abbi brought the series to a new level which shows that she cannot only bring a story that is sexy as hell, but also one that develops characters to their full potential. So what are you waiting for? Don’t you want to read Mase and Reese’s story? Start with When I’m Gone and don’t stop until you hit the last page of When You’re Back. Audio Book Note: Narrators Grace Grant and Jason Carpenter made the characters come alive as I was listening to this story. Truth be told, I have had the galley of the book for a while and I read it way back when I first got it. So, for me, listening to this audio version was a refreshing way to revisit the characters that I have come to love in this book and from When I’m Gone. While listening to Reese and Mase’s story, I was brought back to the world that Abbi Glines has so carefully created for her readers. It was enjoyable to hear Mase and Reese say the words that I read months before. In true Simon & Schuster fashion, they chose narrators that propelled the story forward and that made the switch between characters seem so effortless. If you have the opportunity to listen to this audio book or any in the series, I strongly suggest that you do. It will breathe new life into your favorite characters.
