Book Synopsis

He started off as her enemy… and became her everything.

Like most humans, NYU student Mia Stalis knows little about the beautiful, mysterious invaders who’ve taken over Earth. Rumors about them abound: about their impossible strength and speed, their intentions toward Earth… their vampiric tendencies. None of it concerns Mia, though—until she catches Korum’s eye.

Powerful and terrifyingly seductive, the Krinar leader will do anything to possess her—and no human law can stop him. Helplessly drawn to her magnetic captor, Mia is plunged into the dangerous, secretive world of the Ks and forced to choose between truth and lies, her people and her lover… her freedom and her heart.

NOTE: This is the complete Krinar Chronicles trilogy, containing Close Liaisons, Close Obsession, and Close Remembrance.

I am not a fan of science fiction but I thoroughly enjoyed this series. The characters were complex and the writing kept my interest. I enjoyed the consistent plot and moments where I had to keep reading to find out about Mia and Korum. I think we all want a bit of Korum in our lives!

Close Liaisons: I loved this book couldn't put it down. When Mia meets Korum in the park she never thought that her life would change for the worse. Korum started to control her every move to the point that he knew were she was and who she was with. When Mia met John from a Resistance group he told her their plans of taking back earth and sending the Krinars back to where they came from by using her help in getting information from Korum without his knowledge. After Mia did her part and she saw with her own eyes what happened she new that her life would be different from then on. / Close Obsession: I loved this book couldnt put it down. Korum & Mia left New York to go to Lenkarda in Costa Rica after the K's and the Resistance try to take over and failed. Korum took Mia to his home and showed her how smart his house was like making food for them by just asking what they wanted to eat. After a few days being there she met other Krinars and also met some human girls that were with Krinars too. When Korum took Mia to visite her family in Florida she was really nervous of their reaction toward Korum. Mia and Korum decided to go for a swim at the beach, but when Mia was heading back to Korum someone from her past was there with a gun pointed at Mia while there was a K pointing a gun at Korum at the beach. / Close Remembrance: I loved this book couldn't put it down. When they returned from visiting Mia's parents and her sister and her husband, Korum told Mia that he wanted her to meet his parents. Whenever Mia went to the laboratory to work she felt weird because sometimes she would catch her boss Saret, Korum's good friend looking at her and she started to feel uncomfortable. On night Korum started to get worried because Mia wasn't home yet after she had told him she was on her way. When Korum found out what Saret had done to Mia he became very upset and wanted to destroy Saret with his own hands. Korum found out that there was a way to undo what Saret had done to Mia but it had to be done back home in Krina, also the elders wanted to meet Mia since Korum had petition on her behalf to make her family immortal too. After a few days of arriving on Krina Korum took Mia and her family to meet his parents were they both had a surprise announcement for both families.

I was engrossed in the story from the beginning, loved it more and more as it progressed. I loved the evolution of the relationships Mia and Korum. The almost visionary Sci-Fi aspect was well handled and masterly written. This story will satisfy lascivious lover of romance and nerdy Techies alike.

  • My reviews of each book:

I read these individually, but if you're looking at the whole set, you might not want to go look up reviews of each book individually, so here are my reviews of each book: Book One I was hooked right from the start, and I didn't want to put the book down. The characters are likable, the whole premise of the story very intriguing, and the sex scenes are oh-so-believable and VERY... effective... for lack of better words.... I got caught up enough in the story that I wanted to tell Mia a thing or two about what she was doing and what I thought she should do instead. Can't wait to read the rest of the series! Book Two I loved the first book, and I loved this one every bit as much, if not more. This one delves more into the relationship between Mia and Korum, and we learn much more about the Krinar and how they live. The sex scenes are detailed and enthralling, as always, and there are plenty of them. I'm loving these characters and this world, and I'm very much looking forward to the next book. Book Three More twists and turns, more details about the Krinar and their world, and deepening of Mia and Korum's relationship—I'm very happy with this book. We finally get to "see" Krina, and get more detail about the Krinar society. As always, there are plenty of detailed sex scenes, and they, and the relationship in general is very believable. I'm happy with how the series wraps up, but sad that it's done—I want more!
