I always read the reviews before downloading a book, & since I agree with Dilywi, I won't be reading this one. I also thank those who share their information.

I loved it. Read it in one sitting. I'm getting to be a fan. I've read three of her books and they keep getting better.

This was a good, quick read. Kept me interested but didn't drag on endlessly.

I'm in the back seat of a rented minivan on my way to a wake. Between me and two intelligent humans in front are a toddler, who inexplicably offended by some minuscule indicator light on the ceiling panel has been pointing at it and shrieking baby invectives for the last seven hours. Directly ahead of me, a pre-schooler becomes three-bags carsick and off and on yucks and upchucks. His mother (finally) turns off Brainiacs, which has been echoing through the car's interior from the DVD player. My beloved husband periodically sags over in his sleep into my very limited space, And with all that going around me I became so engrossed in this wonderful book that I didn't notice anything else. Incredibly woven, its twists and turns kept me guessing and page-turning until the very end. I'd say it's a must-read!

I originally felt this story got off to a very slow start. However, once the crime was discovered, things start to move along physically, and for Kate, emotionally. From that point forward the story picked up pace and through some interesting ebbs and highs reached a very surprising and shocking conclusion. I was not at all expecting how this story concluded. A good smooth read, as usual from this author. I am in no way a professional reviewer, but I felt there was perhaps a little too much about Kate's problems from her youth. Just my opinion. Otherwise a great plot, good use of the characters, and not so many that the reader became confused trying to remember who each one was. Looking forward to the next book to read about their newest exploits. RET. LT.
