She’s a literal hot mess… Stella has a mad crush on Hudson Fox (best book name). He’s a firefighter who put out her fire when she’s literally on fire. Hello? Never smoke a turkey on a deck or near a house. Anyways, we have established that Stella is not that bright. But Hudson is a sweet, protective cinnamon roll, total Fox. There’s burning all around… Recommend.

If you enjoy found family stories, I highly recommend Stella and Hudson’s story. Of course, this story is set in Alaska, so we know it’ll be good. J.H. Croix writes some of the best Alaskan romances, in my opinion. Stella was attracted to Hudson from the start and Hudson was attracted to Stella. When they learn they’ll be living in a shared house, Stella tells herself she’ll keep her attraction under control. She can’t let her emotions rule her life. Hudson got into some trouble when he was younger, so he doesn’t think Stella could be interested in him. I’m not going to leave any spoilers, but I will say if you love a great story, you won’t be disappointed with this book. I received an advanced reader copof this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
  • Hot and sexy!

Yep this book is everything the blurb says and more. Hudson is hot and sexy and Stella is sweet but a little neurotic due to her upbringing. She’s making “trash can turkey” after all lol. This book is heavy on chemistry and romance, full of heart strings being pulled and some soul searching thrown in for good measure. Hudson and Stella both grew up in rough situations, they both carry scars that are hard to see beneath their put together personas. I loved seeing them both get what they truly deserved and it was also cool for Stella to find more family. The cast from previous books is along for the ride which I love! It’s always so great to read about people you’ve read about and it really brings the story home and gives it a more personal feel. I loved the preview at the end of the next book coming and I can’t wait for it!
