Amazingly heartbreakingly wrenchingly wondrously well written book. Just read it.

This is an epic novel. The story of a boy named Patch. with one eye , a very smart brave girl named Saint and their friendship and the people they encounter . It takes place over many years and involves many people whose lives they affect and even change. The pair travel near and far to solve a murder mystery that crosses the US. It’s long , involved and hard to put down .

I couldn’t put this book down. It’s got great characters, a twisty plot, and takes you on a wild, beautiful, thought-provoking ride. Chris Whitaker’s writing has come a long way from sort of stilted, odd phrasing to this book, which is just magical!

This book was captivating from the very first page. Highly recommend reading.

If you’re thinking about reading this book, stop thinking and just get it. The writing is so beautiful, the story full of tragedy and hope. I am better for reading this. The book is long, but the short chapters make the reading easy. Highly recommend this book.

Too many characters, all over the board. Author should have spent more time lacing things together.
