Unbreak My Heart by Jennifer Probst is a 10th Anniversary release of this enjoyable story. It is a second chance contemporary romance about Gavin and Miranda. Gavin is a successful international advertising executive who was on leave to try to save the Italian restaurant which had been in his family for generations. Miranda was a successful food critic, whom he had abandoned several years before when he ran away from his feelings for her. This dual POV story was wonderful with a strong woman who rose from the ashes of her failed relationship with Gavin and had little interest in allowing him to break her heart again. This is the story of a strong alpha-hero who finds himself willing to give up control, make himself vulnerable, and succeed in a complete transformation in order to have the woman he loves. It included an engaging cast of family and friends who provided comedic interludes to lighten the more emotional passages between the lovers. With lightning hot chemistry between this couple, there were many steamy passages throughout the novel. I really enjoyed this book. It was an easy read with a satisfying happy ending. I recommend the book to lovers of erotic contemporary romance similar to Carly Phillips. I am voluntarily submitting this honest review after reading an advanced complementary copy of this novel thanks to Valentine PR, Jennifer Probst, and Triple J Publishing.

Gavin and Miranda have a past that she wants to pretend never happened whereas he wants to win back her heart and her trust in any way possible. As a restaurant owner, reviews are very important because one bad review can chase away new and sometimes old customers. Miranda didn't care about any of that and wrote a scathing review about Gavin’s family’s restaurant, Mia Casa. I can understand why she was brutally honest in the review but she didn’t think ahead as to how her words would affect his business. Miranda never reviewed any restaurant twice and she hoped she could leave Gavin and their drama firmly in the past. Of course, what our heart wants is seldom what our head wants, and Gavin became a fixture in Miranda’s life whether she wanted him there or not. She certainly gave him a hard time and I was surprised as to how rudely she treated him. I was shocked that he kept coming back for more, but Gavin was relentless in his pursuit of her love. He made friends with her best friend, delivered lunch to her office and always lavished her with romantic words and gifts. I would have taken Gavin back in an instant but Miranda made him work for every little ounce of forgiveness she felt he deserved . His family loved her, he loved her and he prayed that with a little luck, they would finally have the future they deserved.
