Miss Emily Falnor is the new Duchess of Clawdon’s younger sister and she just wants to live so maybe her sister Mary could help? Mr. William Crestfellow needs a break from his stepmother and younger sister and just wants to visit his oldest friend, The Duke of Clawdon. However these two visitors meet and let the mischief and flirtations begin. Love how Emily and William interact. Short story but just right. What I enjoy about this Shifter Season series is there is no reading order, you may read any of the books at your convenience. A holiday short set in the Shifter Season world. This is the story of Mary and William a falcon and a robin respectively. Mary is trying to escape her overbearing and unpleasant aunt and makes a surprise visit to her sister’s home where she meets William who’s come to spend the holiday with his old friend who’s newly married. From the moment they meet there’s something between them and the romance begins. A sweet romantic short. A hea despite overprotective sisters. An enjoyable quick read. This series of books is designed so that each book is a fairly short read. I would have liked this one to be longer so we could have explored more of the main characters’ relationship.
