Given from the first person perspective, Mila Tannovic is special. We learn more as the story progresses how she is special. It’s like the author feeds the reader enough to whet the appetite. Tritan Evolution features 3 full length stories with each story revealing a plot twist or a mini-cliffhanger. Leaving the reader eager to read the next chapter or book. I’ve enjoyed the characters and learning the author’s terms for all things magical. It does have almost a Chinese mojo about Ki, an inner energy force and some Ki-wielders manipulation. A fascinating story that keeps the attention. The fact of reading from the main characters point of view is that it is one sided and narrow minded yet you empathize with her thoughts and rationals even if she is temperamental and naive. Again I like it am eager to read the next installment. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This five hundred plus page story is told in three parts (books) and ends in a cliffhanger. I’m not sure if that means that the series will go on. The story is epic enough that I started comparing it to Dune. Dune had two warring houses fighting over spice and their version of a superhero in Paul Atreides. Tritan Evolution had the Caledonians fighting the Tritans for glaith and their last best hope, Mila. But Mila is no Paul Atreides. This is Mila’s story. It is not a romance novel, though she shares a twisted form of tension with her antagonist, Asher, all through the story. Mila is a mixed bag. She is the heroine of this series and I wanted to root for her as she displayed her inner strength and confidence. She behaved as a ruthless warrior willing to fight as dirty as needed to maintain her freedom and help her people. She kept her fragile, vulnerable self well hidden only bringing it to light through the eloquence of her internal monologues. On the other hand, she wanted to do good but would only do it her way; thinking in her youthful arrogance and ignorance that her way is the best way. And that is the side of Mila I just wanted to slap some sense into because it created all sorts of problems for the people she was supposed to be helping and herself. She had no impulse control, allowed her temper to drive her emotions, super paranoid, low moral compass. In short, she had the emotional maturity of a two year old. Her saving grace was that everyone around her was mature enough to keep pulling her out of tight spots. I gave this story 5 stars because I loved the way the author wrote the story in spite of how much I disliked Mila. I think I like this version of Mila’s story better than the other because Asher wasn’t quite as awful in this one as he was in the other version. However, I might change my mind once the third book in that trilogy comes out. I hope there are more stories to come that resolve the conflict between Mila and Asher. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Captain Asher Rawlings, elite Special Forces, and Mila, powerfully hidden magic wielder, clash throughout the three books found in Myra Danvers’ Triton Evolution box set. Each of these beauties are exquisitely written on their own, but to be able to follow the painful path, through destruction and misery, one after the other, is pure evil for those who dwell in the House of Danvers readers. We will spend hour upon hour hoarding our time, hissing at those who attempt to pry these books from our fingers, and growling when attempts at feeding us disrupt our sweet agony. We call it Myra Madness. (not really, as I just made it up. But it sounds good, right?) Faithful followers of the Chaos Queen can be found bowing at her alter, as she blesses us with her words. Much like Mila battles Asher throughout this series, you will find yourself reeling with emotional upheaval as Ravenous Innocence, Insatiable Corruption, and Lavish Destruction are injected into your book bloodstream, never to leave. All that being said, these three immensely epic novels will create a chasm in your heart and a obsession in your brain. They are brilliant, as is Myra’s talent for storytelling.
