John chapter one reveals the two sections of eternity: eternity in the past and eternity in the future. In eternity past God planned and purposed, and in eternity future everything will have been accomplished. When does God accomplish His work, then? Between the two sections of eternity is the bridge of time, and it is here that God accomplishes all that He wants to accomplish.
