Book Synopsis

Love is just around the corner . . .

Sweet, shy Mara Hanover is in love with her neighbor. For four years, she has secretly watched her dream man from afar. Handsome police detective Mitch Lawson is way out of her league. She's a girl from the wrong side of the tracks, and there's no way a guy like Mitch would want anything to do with her. But when Mara has a leaky faucet that she can't fix, it's Mitch who comes to her rescue.

Mitch has been eyeing his beautiful neighbor for a long time. He jumps at the chance to help her, and soon their formerly platonic relationship gets very hot and heavy. But when Mara gets a disturbing phone call from her cousin's kids, she gets pulled back into the life she's tried so hard to leave behind. Can the hot law man convince Mara to let go of her past-and build a future with him?

I simply adored this book. It’s the best I’ve read so far; however, it is only the third I’ve read by Kristen Ashley. And I’m sure another one will be the best by next week, as I’m going to buy every one of her books. Law Man-and every other Kristen Ashley book- is one of those books you will love no matter what genre you read in romance. I love dark, fantasy, and dystopian, but I will always, always come back to Kristen Ashley books. They’re a must read. If you’re a romance lover, don’t waste any time. Read. Them. Now.

Another great book in this series. Mitch and Mara are great characters. Mitch knows what he wants and when he has the chance with Mara he jumps right in. Mara is a strong woman who does not know her own worth. With Mitch by her side she soon sees the world she’s kept hidden from. Secondary characters Billy and Billie are awesome but Billie is a child I need in my life!

It was so hard to enjoy this book because Mara was behind annoying. Beyond low self esteem and she was bit very nice to Mitch. All the ums and uhs. Had me skipping a lot.

‘I never do this…’ leave reviews that is but this book, which I have only gotten about half through since starting it last night, is really good. Funny and witty, great characters and the story line is keeping me interested. Mitch is awesome, and I didn’t think I would like Mara’s cluelessness but she grew on me, plus she’s unwittingly hilarious. I saw in the other reviews that Mitch is in other books….. I will be checking those out as well.

3rd book of the series & my favorite so far. Loved Mitch & Mara together. Such a great story line. He was so together & she was so not! It was great to see her gain strength & confidence & realize her self worth. It was really sweet & well written, & like her other books, fast paced. Sometimes a little too fast, because I would like more descriptions with the sex scenes. Lol, but this book was about Love, laughter, & family. Another book Kristen knocked out of the ballpark!!!!

Got to agree. Women really do live in their own little world. Best way to get them out of that world is to insult them while having their back. Now on to Motorcycle Man.

Did not like the main characters incessant mentions of her "rating system" too much focus on that. As the reader I will say that the male character was very easy to fall in love with. But the ending was a little too boring.
