As rounded as Jane is, internally and externally blossoming, her romantic endeavor with Rochester was confusing and drawn out. I like the premise but did not prefer some plot choices. Great book, just longgggg.

It is an obviously well written and thought out story. I found some issue with the romance’s third act conflict. It’s not my favorite love story but I found myself highlighting a few key pieces of the romance, finding that they were articulating a feeling I hadn’t yet been able to put into words. I’m definitely happy to have now read Jane Eyere

I gave ‘Jane Eyre’ 4 stars for two reasons: 1.) Because it took a fair amount of determination to become comfortable with the language (words not in U. S. English or not used in a familiar way) and the grammatical structure used to reflect the time period of the story and that of the author.
2.) I couldn’t find a way to rate it 4.7 stars. Well worth the effort to become accustomed to the literary style.

I hated to separate from the page for the demands of life. Now that our time together has ended, I am fully satiated. I can move on and look back with contentment at our holiday. I am not dismayed. Perhaps I shall visit again someday, perhaps not.

Every time I read the book, my mood is always bonded with Jane‘s. When she was a child and lived at her aunt’s home and was often ill treated, she was abhorrent to her aunt and her two Casons, I abhorred them too; when she was escaping from Mr Rochester and suffering in the Heath, I was suffering the pain of her pain; when she was praying for God’s help, I was praying for her too; when she was crying, I was tearing too; when she was blissful, I felt I enjoyed her gaiety too. Her story was ended, but my Jane is still living in my heart.
Amazing!

I had never read this nor recall watching a movie on this. So surprising and unexpected. Great story telling and the writing is superb. Did not know it would have so many twists and turns.

I love this book. When I have a favorite, I will read it many times just like watching a favorite movie. I have enjoyed this book many times and will read again I’m sure. The classics never fail.
