This was a fun read and a nice humorous break from the norm. A quick read about Small town Texas murder with a civil war history twist.

Although the title was off-putting, the story was fun.

A good whodunit with lots of laughs along the way. I grew up in a small town and cracked up at the satirical view of small town gossip mills! It's been awhile since I've read such a fun book. I needed that!

I absolutely loved this book! Well worth the read! A small town mindset of colorful characters with personalities to match! Bubba is awesome!

The story was amusing and there was enough action to keep the story interesting. Bubba and his mother were the most developed characters and they contributed most of the humor to the story . It was a fun read.

I really thought this was a kid book, I guess because of the cover, but anyone that likes a mystery will enjoy this book. I really got to like Bubba and it made me want to read more about him...can't wait!

Great book. My face hurt from so much giggling! Love this guy. Just wish the GD word would be left out in future. Dropped a star for that. No sense in it. Great read otherwise!!! Called my sister and told her about it while holding my aching laughing face.

I've read several books by this author. All entertaining to be sure!! This book however is a comedy with quick wit, fun characters I wanted to learn more about & enough adventure & excitement to keep my interest piqued!!!!! If the momentum continues I will read every book in this Bubba Snoddy series!!

This work restored my love of novels. The characters are engaging and multi faceted without being tedious and the humorous storyline is highly tongue-in-cheek, written in a style that I found addicting. Although I don't believe it is targeted to the youth market it highly appropriate for readers of all ages. I wasn't happy until I'd downloaded the entire series and read them all within a week... then I moved on to the author's other works 'Bayou Moon' and 'Veiled eyes'.

I loved this book, thank you very much. I will be recommending it to my friends. great story and kept me interested the whole time I was reading it.
