Lt. Murphy was undoubtedly a great man and a true American hero. This book, however, isn’t written very well. It seems to stumble along as if the author is writing things as they come to him. If you can look past that, or at least tolerate it, Lt. Murphy is a man well worth learning more about.

A perfect book to read after Lone Survivor.

This well-written and descriptive book is amazingly difficult to put down. It tugged at my heart yet made my nerves tingle with excitement and the accomplishments of Navy Seal Lt. Michael Murphy. I have only read one other book that has been able to keep me as interested. Navy Seal Lt. Michael Murphy is the epitome of Courage, Commitment & Selfless Service. Although I do not know him & will never get an opportunity to meet him, I am honored to get to know him through this excellent writing; through the story. I'm glad I was able to learn about this man. And all those like him. You won't regret reading this.

I have never written a review in my 52 years of life. This book took me to places I can only describe as AMAZING! I normally rip through books very fast to get to the next one. Every word had me glued. This telling of Mike's life has changed me forever. There are not enough stars to rate this telling of another persons life. Michael Murphy was someone born to be respected,however this author made the story so real I became involved in this family's grief. It took several tries to get through the Medal Of Honor ceremonies because it was SO MOVING how our President was genuinely involved, rather than going through the motions of an obligation. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Great account of a true American hero...this country needs more people like The Murph.

Excellent book about an amazing hero.....

I must say this was an excellent read.. The book memorializes MPM as a hero which he clearly was. An American Patriot, few like him. I am thankful for folks like MPM who died taking the fight to those who want to harm us. Enduring Freedom is an on going operation with many more stories of heart break to come. I hope an pray it will be worth the high sacrifice paid by our sons. I really hope Americans would appreciate the sacrifice made by MPM and others. This book will help you feel more thankful... Thank you MPM, MA, DD, ML for a job well done!

Great story but poorly written. With all due respect to the Murphy's and a medal of honor recipient, this reads more like a military manual rather than a novel.

Everyone should read this book to understand what these men do for our freedom. I cried all through this book.
