The plot was... fine, though not as good as some of the author’s previous. But dear lord, there were a lot of typos in this book. Left me wondering: Was it copy edited at all?

What a great story. Violet and Flin were wonderful together. I hope Ms Long will write Lyon an Olivia's story soon.

This is an ok book. Not particularly bad, not particularly good. You really don't get a look into Flint's internal thoughts until about half way thru the book. He is the better of the two characters. Violet is portrayed as catty and naive to the point she is vapid and it makes the love story ring hollow. The underlying storyline of Lyon is not well developed. I never felt invested in his quest to earn the love of Olivia. Having not read any of the other books, I'm not sure if the development of these two characters takes place prior to Violet's story. I just know that is this story the Lyon-Olivia storyline is weak and incomplete.

This is my 2nd Julie Ann Long book and I loved it. I read alot, across all genres, and though I'm a fellow writer (of 18 books with a RITA proudly gracing my office) I still find there's nothing quite as exciting as reading a beautifully crafted book with fully realized characters written by someone with the skill to make me care about them as much as they come to care about each other. Flint and Violet and their story was fresh, complex and unexpected. I couldn't put it down..

The story was amazing but there is a lot of mistakes regarding the editing. This book really needs to be re-edited. But other then that it was really good : D
