Jacob Jacobs, a known respected winemaker and alpha bachelor, has been pursued by beautiful women for many years. He recently has had no interest and an unfulfilled life. He wants to settle down and try to find a family of his own. At a Christmas tree lighting, he agreed to help his niece, Ava, who recently lost her mother, light the tree at the Jacob’s Estate. He glances across the audience and his eyes zone in on Becca Taylor, Ava’s teacher. He had no idea who she was, but their instant attraction, made Uncle Jacob wanting to learn more about her. Becca had moved to Napa from a farm area in Kansas, with her boyfriend, to teach. He soon left her and Napa behind, plus leaving huge debts she couldn’t handle anymore. She decided to finish the school year and then return home to Kansas. Jacob’s instant connection and feelings for Becca couldn’t be denied and she was cautious because she was a farm girl who knew nothing about wine or the lifestyle of the Jacobs family. This is a beautifully written book that deals with life’s struggles, family dynamics, and an surreal attraction for two great people. The book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.
