Such a wonderful exciting story!!!! Absolutely loved it!!!

Badly damaged heroes who are trying to do good and the women who love them.

These two people with her daughter and their friends and coworkers are a team that will do what needs to be done to make all well.

Really good characters & plot. The story moved at a good pace and I really liked all the characters. However the sex scenes were a little too much for me. I don’t find the average night to include 4-5-6-7- orgasms per participant and I don’t care for the play-by play of every lick, throb, tweak, etc. I’ve always enjoyed enough insinuation to work with but let my own imagination fill in the rest(or not).

Finn “Tonka” Matlick is still recovering from the traumatic event that had him leave the Coast Guard. He’s not a social, preferring the company of the animals in the barn. That is until Henley McClure comes to The Refuge as a therapist. Feeling unworthy, he admires her from afar for two years, until she needs help with her daughter, Jasna. The girl who reminds him so much of his late best friend, unlocks something in him that makes him decide to pursue his interest in Henley. Little does he know, Henley has also been crushing on him from afar. Two complementary souls, a bright and inquisitive 12 year old, a cow named Mable, a lurking evil, and the men of The Refuge make for an exciting read!

Another wonderful book by Susan Stoker. Loved it!
