I really enjoyed reading this book. I’m perplexed by one thing though, I know Janie and Eddie were separated at the time of his death, but truthfully, Janie helped Eddie get clean and sober. Something Valerie was seemingly unable to do. I wonder why Janie was never acknowledged in helping Eddie getting clean and straightening up his act? She surely played a big role in it. Also, I know there are 2 sides to every story and relationship, but wonder why Valerie and Toms marriage broke up? Was it because she so vocally grieved and mourned Eddie’s death as if Tom never existed? Kind of negating their whole marriage? Just a few things that made me ponder. But all in all I loved the book.
  • It’s all about love

I loved the authenticity and honesty with which Valerie wrote her book “Enough Already”. I was drawn into her life where she shares her doubts & fears about life. However, I was equally enthralled by the love she shares about family, especially, her son Wolfie and first husband Ed. The foodie part of her was such an added bonus! As an older person myself, I relate to how I’ve finally accepted myself as well with the good, the bad & the ugly. It’s all about love as Valerie has finally realized.

I loved this book. I cried, I laughed, felt the urge to cook something! Valerie took me on an emotional journey where I could compare myself to many of her experiences. She writes with such deep emotion and wit. I just love her!

Valerie did a great job, not an easy project! I too grew up in LA, and met Valerie in the late 70s at a birthday party at Mackenzie's house in Beachwood Canyon, before Eddie. Valerie was sweet and genuine, just like her writing. I really enjoyed the book, it touched my heart.

Very honest and real… I could be her friend very easily. She’s funny, smart a little quirky and still so in love with her Ed❤️ what a love story.

I have been a fan of Valerie’s from the beginning. I can relate to so much of what you have felt about yourself over the years and I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. I love this book and I’m even a bigger fan of yours now! ❤️
  • Boring and Redundant

I was really looking forward to reading this but unfortunately found it redundant. I skipped through many pages because the repetitive rants got old. Every time I thought she had truly had “enough” and was moving on and up the narrative slipped back into the negative self image. Two thirds of the way through I had had enough already… save your money.
  • TOTALLY WONDERFUL BOOK

This book by Valerie is the best memoir I have read in a very long time! It’s like your best friend is sitting next to you telling stories about her life. Every page is relatable. I read passages that made me stop and look for a highlighter so I could remember what I had read that really touched me. Certain passages spoke to me on a very personal level and I wanted to reread again and again! Run to your local book store or buy the ebook but just buy it! You won’t be disappointed!!!!
