Book Synopsis

Readers of Lisa Jackson and Lucinda Berry will be thrilled by this stunning tale of suspense from a New York Times bestselling author. Even the most exclusive universities can’t out a stalker in the latest in this USA Today bestselling series when a brilliant professor and an ex-Deep Ops agent will have to outwit an obsessive killer.

“Zanetti is a master.” —Kirkus Reviews

Run: Gemma Falls never expected to use her game theory expertise to outrun a killer. But for years, that skill is all that kept her one step ahead of a deadly stalker. When Gemma gets the chance to teach at D.C. University, she hopes she and her young daughter have found a safe harbor. The only flaw is the arrogant philosophy professor who’s always underfoot giving unwanted advice—in his sexy British accent . . .

Hide: Jethro Hanson has blood on his hands. He’s working within ivy-covered university halls now, but he knows that his work with the Deep Ops team and the deadly acts he once committed for the sake of Queen and country place him beyond forgiveness—until he meets Gemma . . .

Seek: Soon, the passion between them stuns them both. But when Jethro discovers a threat is fast overtaking her, he must choose between the redemption he seeks—and releasing the ever-present killer inside . . .

Praise for Driven

“Zanetti still makes time to dig into her characters’ psyches in the midst of the action, adding nuance to the exciting plot.”
Publishers Weekly

“The story moves fast, and there’s an unexpected twist or two, as well as a
scene-and-booze-stealing German Shepherd that provides a little levity to this dark and satisfying romantic thriller.”

Love the action; fun stalker angle! Plus, other enemies popping up too. Entertaining suspense and danger! Not into the single parent angle or some of Jethro’s actions, but he does have good chemistry with Gemma. Sweetness and steam! An interesting, exciting addition to this great series! Really enjoy Zanetti’s writing style!

This is a new to me author and I thoroughly enjoyed her Deep Ops Series. I will definitely be looking for more of her works to read! I love the way she paired up characters and give them their own story. I also hope there is going to be more to this series. I think anyone who enjoys adventure, romance, mystery, and suspense will enjoy this series.

Jethro's story was so much more than I could have asked for. I adored his relationship with Gemma's daughter, Trudy. Really all the characters and how they were with Trudy made this book so much fun to read. I just love when a small child is involved and all the adults melt for that child. Jethro and Gemma were amazing and I enjoyed every bit of their journey. Ian and Oliver were a very pleasant surprise and I do hope they get their own book. Wolfe and Roscoe still entertain me to no end. I really just enjoyed this book from start to finish.

Unforgiven by Rebecca Zanetti Book 5 of the Deep Ops series. Romantic suspense. Can be read as a stand-alone but better in series order as each progressive book will have previous characters and relationships develop throughout. Gemma is hiding from an abusive ex. She knows better than to trust coworker Professor Jethro but he continues to be helpful after a flat tire and smashed car window. Gripping and intense. A bit of dry humor and a couple of steamy romantic encounters after slow burn start. Friendships and made family that continues to grow. Favorites Roscoe and Wolfe make the story rich and fulfilling. Excerpt: “Jethro partially turned to take the hit of several toddlers ramming him head on with happy cries of his name. He fell over and then rolled around, gently wrestling and letting the kids use him as a jungle gym.” — this was Jethro, not Roscoe the dog.
