Robbert Frank's early years
Practically born with a camera in his hand, Robbert Frank (1963-) grew up in the 60s and 70s and started working for magazines at the age of 14. Later on he worked for press agencies and started his own studio. Through the eye of the camera you look differently at the world, he noticed, more consciously, more detailed, more focused. Photography became his passion, his camera an extension of his creativity. He found his inspiration in photographers such as Diane Arbus and Henri Cartier-Bresson, but also artist Paul Citroen from the 1930s.
