I loved it! I couldn’t put the book down! Jumping head first into the second book right now!

Interesting enough to keep reading. But I found myself skimming through this book.

I can’t believe I found this book by scrolling through my tik tok feed! It was a scene from the mummy movie with Brendan Fraser, where his character is having an argument with his love interest, sorry I cannot remember her name, and she won’t do what he tells her to do. He picks her up, throws her over his shoulder and carries her into the bedchamber. The caption read something like, “if you like this, then checkout ‘A Shadow in the Ember’.” I’m a sucker for the at odds turns love interest type of stuff so I bought the first book and got hooked! The story is so much more than what you think. Sera is not just some damsel in distress. She’s a complex character, that Jennifer did a fantastic job creating. The story has romance of course but there’s also action, humor, and heart wrenching moments. I can’t wait for book 4!

Pretty much soft porn wrapped around a poorly written story

I am in love with Sera an Ash as much as I love Poppy and Cass. I was on the edge of my seat this whole book. The minute I finished I immediately bought the other two books an I can’t wait to dive in. I 1000% recommend this book and series.

Wonderful story line that makes you just want to keep reading until 3am when you have to be up at 7am for work

Favorite book I’ve ever read. I love Jennifer L Armentrout. I started with the Blood and Ash series then followed with this one and I just fell in love with Daddy Nyktos.

Love the plot, characters, everything so happy this is a series.

Just wow. Read it!
