    Good story. Characters are interesting and often humorous. Action is well-developed. Please check the definitions for cement and for concrete. My family has been in the concrete business for over 40 years. Cement is one of the ingredients, a powder, that is added to make concrete. The resulting concrete begins as a sludge and hardens over time. Falling into cement would not be the same as falling onto hardened concrete. And—bullets would not ping when hitting cement. Please check this out. I can send you an article that explains the process and ingredients if you wish.

    And once again, we the audience (as this feels like a video drama, not a book) are left suspended above what could very well be the finale. Laughed out loud in several places, cringed in others. If you don’t like cliffhangers, wait until Reign, the next book is out and purchase the whole series. However, whether you buy the whole series or each as published, don’t miss this one. A swashbuckling read! And it should be a tv series. Grab the series, a definite add to the TBR list.
