  • Unique lead characters!

I absolutely loved this book at first. To read about someone struggling with addiction problems was a great change and more realistic. I was to really enthralled with the work until the end. Characters did become somewhat whiny at the end but overall it was a great read!
  • Definitely a way to stay warm

Oh, what a read to warm you up on a cold winter night. This is the second in the series, Sebastian and Kayla have somewhat of a turbulent past. The chemistry is on fire with these two, the banter is definitely foreplay. I loved how it completely starts as a way of settling the score, but turns into something so much bigger. I am absolutely hooked on these Prescott’s and can’t wait for more. I am voluntarily leaving a review for this book that I received free.
  • He’s seething with resentment and desire

Enemies Sebastian is a mess. He’s seething with resentment and desire for Kayla (whom he immaturely blames for him loosing his job). He’s petty and resentful and he fails to own up to his many, many failures. He’s got a lot of growing up to do. He’s dwelled in stunted development for a decade. Whereas Kayla has her S together, she’s looking for her person (which is NOT Sebastian). But a single bed and a thorough snow job will generate plenty of heat between these two. But can they work out their other S? Recommend.
  • Sebastian’s journey

Overall, this book was a four star read for me, because the author had me invested in the story and the growth of the characters. I found Sebastian to be very complex and someone to root for, despite his rather childish revenge plots. He was trying so hard to get is life back on track, and I admire that. I spent the first half of the book disliking Kayla immensely. Even at his most annoying, I still felt she wasn’t good enough for Sebastian. I’m still not sure if I even liked her in the second half or if I was simply apathetic and just wanted him happy. The secondary characters were a draw for me, not only the Prescott brothers, but Sebastian’s coworkers as well. I know we probably won’t see them in any additional books, but they brought unbiased, loyal piece of friendship that Sebastian needed in his journey. I’m loving this series and can’t wait to read both Mac and Lucien’s stories.
