    The Ops series, was great and read every bit of it. There’s constant action, great character, exiting to read. I felt like this book audio selection was more of the same and noted after purchasing the full series of the ops, this felt as if I’d paid for a story I’d already read?

    Overall this was just okay. It feels like the author was trying too hard, so the heroine and hero come off almost as caricatures rather real people. Like Mercy is super quirky and Duke is super tough those are their main traits that the author then dials up to an eleven throughout the book. Also everyone is so flippant about everything it gets to be a bit much at times. Mercy suffers from the trope of “not like other girls” to the point that one of the other characters actually says it to her. One of the things I did like was the camaraderie between the characters.

    This is book one of eight in the PSI-Ops / Immortal Ops series by Mandy M. Roth. The relationship with Mercy and Duke is so amazing! Mercy works for a company that does evil this to others. She wants to help them, but she has become an accomplice. Duke is a wolf shifter who is an operative for PSI. When he meets her, it is amazing to see his transformation. I loved this book so much that I purchased it for my own. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    I thought the mix of paranormal with the non-paranormal was very well written. The suspense was heightened by the reveal of their connection. She was an engaging character who was the perfect foil for him. I loved that the intrigue made the story flow with an urgency which was easily felt.     Very crude. To many F words I couldn’t finish the first chapter. Apparently this author is not very articulate that she has to use disgusting language to tell her story. Thank God it was free I would have been really aggravated if I had paid for it. I give a 1 star rating to warn other women what to expect from this obviously amateur author who has no class.

    Mercy was a doctor at a research facility but she realized that they were doing horrible studies on humans DNA with animals. Duke was part of a paranormal security unit and he was a wolf shifter. When Duke saw Mercy his wolf knew she was his mate even though the group thought she was part of the target at first. So when Mercy and Duke met their interesting and exciting romance began an adventure full of danger, intrigue, secrets and handful of a pixie for one wolf to tame.
