The science is described in terms that everyone should be able to understand using carefully chosen adjectives to illustrate the clear and present dangers we (and all life on Earth) face as a result of the burning of nonrenewable fossil fuel resources. Written in a very intimate yet conversational style, with the passion of youth and the wisdom of the ages, she describes her very personal understanding of our changing climate and shares her concern for the continued existence of all life on Earth. Her passion and compassion are clear and compelling. She writes with grit and grace as she shares her personal journey to a more sustainable lifestyle. This book offers the most human and humane description of the problem and what we all can (must) do to avert the catastrophic outcome if we fail to act now. Not just for today's youth (they need to understand what their future holds) but for anyone seeking to learn what each of us, as individuals, can do to avoid the worst. A final note on Notes: probably the best collection of Notes I’ve seen. I’m now using those notes as a guide to further reading.
