    This is a lovely story, beautifully written, fast-paced and full of action, danger and adventure and best of all a great love story! I just love the characters both main and secondary. The secondary characters, the London Lords added so much to this story I can’t wait to read their stories. The author does a wonderful job creating characters that you can relate to. I could have easily fallen in love with Lisandro, Duke of Tolosa. He was noble, good and kind and so romantic. When he laid eyes on Maria de Elizondo Garza, daughter of the Duke of Villabona at a ball and it was clear from that moment on he knew he must have her. The fact that she was the daughter of a duke of a noble family feuding with his for 100 years posed its own set of problems. Maria was confident and brave and then she tried to resist he was simply irresistible. The plotting was wonderfully done, filled with suspense. Emotions run high amidst the twist and turns. The imagery and the authors descriptive language was perfect. She makes it so easy to imagine yourself a part of the story. I couldn’t put this book down until the very last page. I especially loved the epilogue. Thank you so much Miss Cottman for such a beautifully written story of romance and love!

    The moment Lisandro de Aguirre, Duke of Tolosa, saw her, he was smitten. The problem? She is Maria de Elizondo Garza, daughter of the Duke of Villabona. The two families have been feuding for a century, so she is off limits. Then she is kidnapped and her brother comes to Lisandro to help find and rescue her. And rescue her he does. As they work their way back to Spain, they develop a plan to catch those responsible. Oh, and they fall in love. The story is set during a time of political uncertainty in Spain. People must take care. Opinions heard by the wrong people can be dangerous. This is a romance and an adventure. Lisandro and Maria are wonderful together. Both are smart and confident. Their story holds your attention start to finish. A good story with a great ending where we find out what the feud was about and how it was ended. I recommend it. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
