Another LLV hit! Each book I read keeps getting better and better, and I get more invested in this book universe! Sammy and Hastings meet in the most unusual of circumstances – during a robbery. With Hastings having Tourette’s she has trouble keeping herself calm and not experience any tics, which puts her in harms way. Thankfully, Sammy is able to save the day with the help of Hastings and all ends well. As they continue to meet in not typical situations, they start to spend more time together, which forms into a relationship. Something I love about LLV is her ability to bring a storyline from other books into new ones. This one for example has the “villain” in multiple previous books where you know something is up with him but can’t figure out what yet. I will say – I DID NOT EXPECT THIS TO END HOW IT DID! My heart literally broke for Hastings and I can admit that I cried a little (or a lot). In the end, things ended up working out for Hastings and Sammy with the circumstances that remained, and thankfully things ended up how they were supposed to be for the bad guys.
